The AAMI Foundation John D. Hughes HTM Leadership Honors Award, sponsored by TRIMEDX honors the legacy of John D. Hughes by recognizing health technology management (HTM) professionals who demonstrate visionary leadership, challenge conventional thinking, and inspire positive change in the field. This award celebrates individuals who exemplify innovation, mentorship, and dedication to advancing patient safety, technology management, and the HTM profession.
Eligibility
Nominees should demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas: --Leadership & Influence – Demonstrated ability to lead with integrity, motivate others, and foster collaboration across the HTM community --Innovation & Iconoclasm – Willingness to challenge the status quo and introduce new, effective approaches that advance HTM practices or improve patient care --Impact on Patient Safety & Outcomes – Measurable contributions to improving healthcare delivery through safe, effective, and efficient management of medical technology --Mentorship & Professional Development – Commitment to mentoring and supporting the growth of current and future HTM professionals --Advancing the HTM Profession – Advocacy, thought leadership, or contributions that elevate the visibility, recognition, and importance of HTM within healthcare Both self-nominations and nominations by others are accepted.
