About
The Michael J. Miller HTM Scholarship is designed to help fund the future of the HTM profession by awarding academic scholarships to students meeting the criteria and selected by the AAMI Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee. Annually, students studying to become biomedical engineers (BME), biomedical equipment technicians (BMET), health technology specific engineering, including clinical and health systems engineering and software or other health technology related IT programs are eligible. Each scholarship is $3,000 and awarded in a single, lump sum payment in the year selected. In addition, each scholarship awardee will become a member of the Miller HTM Alumni community that offers on-going educational and networking opportunities.
Eligibility
Applicants must be: - Entering or a current, full-time college or technical school student; admission to an educational program can be pending at the time of application for the scholarship. Documentation is required - Seeking a career in the healthcare technology profession and in a program at an accredited college or university; typical programs would include degrees in biomedical engineering, biomedical equipment technology, electrical, mechanical, clinical or health system engineering - Considered a current student in an eligible academic program at of the end of the 2026/2027 academic year - Applicants are eligible to apply and receive a scholarship in successive years - AAMI Foundation scholarships are awarded without regard to race, color, ancestry, sex, religion, age, handicap, or veteran status. - If the scholarship recipient leaves or is removed from the college or program, the award recipient is expected to return the award funding to the AAMI Foundation.
