AAMI Sterilization Science Award

Eligibility

Nominees: --Have a strong record of development and deployment of original, peer-reviewed, published, and/or presented research, innovative methodologies, or novel technologies that demonstrate scientific rigor and integrity, accuracy, and reproducibility --Have made a substantial and sustained impact on the field of sterilization, sterility assurance, and contamination control through adoption or incorporation (i.e., into standards and other key guidance) of their research findings, methodologies or technologies by the sterilization and sterilization assurance community (including industry, regulatory bodies, or health care settings) leading to improved practices and enhanced patient safety --Have a history of active and productive collaboration with other researchers, industry professionals, or regulatory bodies to advance the science of sterilization, sterility assurance, and contamination control --Demonstrate leadership in serving professional organizations, initiating and coordinating collaborative research, organizing conferences or workshops related to sterilization and sterility assurance or providing mentorship of earlier career professionals in the field of sterilization, sterility assurance, and contamination control Both self-nominations and nominations by others are accepted.
